The Fondation pour Genève

The Fondation pour Genève was founded in 1976 and is a private, non-political and non-religious organisation recognised as of public benefit. It works, in particular, on the international positioning of the region, welcoming internationals and their spouses, developing initiatives that encourage dialogue and the exchange of ideas and finally managing its humanist funds. The Fondation pour Genève initiates, promotes, coordination and supports initiatives that contribute to Geneva's traditions of hospitality and openness to the world. The sections of the Fondation pour Genève are:

L'Association des Amis collects funds for the Fondation pour Genève and its different sections and provides to the Fondation pour Genève a permanent team (its Director and staff)

The Diplomatic Club of Geneva encourages relations between the Geneva-based international communities and locals

The Geneva International Circle (formerly Spouses' Circle offers a personalised welcoming to spouses of expats from Diplomatic and private backgrounds

L'Observatoire Lémanique promotes the concept of a région lémanique and its dialogue with other Swiss metropolises

The Fonds Geroges-Junod helps elderly people in need

The Welcome Network organises and animates the programme of the Centre d'Accueil-Genève Internationale (CAGI) for newcomers of the International community

Furthermore, the Fondation pour Genève every year honours a personality or an institution through its Prix de la Fondation pour Genève.
